Create, Protect and Engage our Community with their natural environment through fun and engaging activities which contribute to wildlife conservation and bush regeneration within the Hills Shire.
Our campaign is to continue to connect the Hills Shire community to their local natural environment so they can not only enjoy the wondrous benefits and beauty of it but also be inspired to help contribute to its protection and conservation. We have been doing this by meeting once a month at the Fred Caterson Reserve to partake in activities that contribute to our communities knowledge of wildlife and conservation but also through participation in citizen science and bush regeneration!
This campaign will give us the opportunity to continue this group, bring in more members and partake in more activities lead by wildlife and conservation experts in a variety of fields! Some examples include nature drawing, tea leaf making, habitat creation, walks/night walks, and wildlife and habitat monitoring!
Not only do we have Platypus that call our nearby waterways home but we also have the endangered Powerful Owl that is losing habitat. We want to be the voice for this reserve!
